Away from the sunny shores of Sydney, and smack bang in the middle of London! What a difference in temperature.

A Long Week
Well another week bringing me closer to pay day! I had my First Aid refresher course on Monday & Tuesday and passed that with flying colours, so am now requalified for 3 years. Wednesday I had my broken tooth temporarily fixed with the major repairs to be done after I return for the US. Thursday was Bernie's birthday in Melbourne so had a nice chat with the family. And today, FRIDAY, the last day of the week. The girls and I are going to have a BBQ tonight if the weather holds out and a relaxing weekend ahead.

Dinner at the Maple Leaf
Down to London last night for dinner and drinks at the Maple Leaf. Me, Verena, Krista, Bianca & Suzanne had some lovely food with a couple of drinks. A quick look around Monsoon in Covent Garden then it was back on the train to get home. The only pics we took were of Verena & I on the tube with the air rushing thru our hair!! Any excuse to get the camera out!

Nothing New
Well, it's the end of a boring week. I was in London on Tuesday night for dinner with friends which was nice. We have found a new housemate as Becky has left us to go back to Northampton. The new guy's name is Steven and I haven't met him. The girls interviewed him and said he was really nice so we shall see. I think he is moving in on the weekend. Dinner at the Cambrige Blue Pub last night as a final farewell to Dina who flys out today for 6months worth of travel. She will be in Australia in September I think so will be visiting all my friends & family. An easy weekend planned, I have free tickets to go see Waitress as Bovis sponsors the Cambridge Film Festival. So all in all very relaxing and cost free. The only bummer is I signed up for the gym so I'm giong on Saturday for my assessment! Should be fun.

The Dane Visit
Thursday night the count down was on. Charlie, Michelle & I were sitting in the Cricketeers having a drink listening to jazz waiting on the call from the Dane to say she had arrived. Midnight and the call came in, we sprinted down to the bus and there was INGER!!!! Whoo hooo. A quick catch up and we were straight into Greys Anatomy series 3. We restricted ourselves to 3 episodes and set the alarm for 10am the next morning.
Friday, a day spent in front of the telly watching 6 episodes of Greys 3 before we had to get ready for our night out. It rained during the day so it's not like we wasted our time. A very emotional ride with Greys.
Saturday, after receiving a tip from Chris Howcroft (Regional Director) Becky, Inger & I headed to the bookies in the morning, before 10.30am to ensure we got good odds, to lay our bets. We were pretty excited and feeling pretty confidant from our wins. Unfortunately the horse placed about 15th!! No more gambling for awhile. The rest of Saturday was spent watching Greys 3 with us finishing the 25th episode at 12.15am. A fantastic series and well worth the effort.
Sunday saw us heading down to Church in London. A day spent drinking & dancing and even getting into bed early about 9.30pm.
Monday we lounged around, went for a walk round town, basically chilled out. Then Monday night had another work do. We have handed over 2/3rd's of the job so we had a topping out party at the Granta in Cambridge. It rained all day and as we were having a BBQ I was worried abit, but the sun came out at 6.30pm in time for the BBQ at 7pm. A great night but feeling a bit sick this morning!
Only 4 hours to go till Inger leaves back to Daneland.
