Eat meat........and my baby's back

So last night we finally got round to going for dinner for my boss'es birthday. It ended up being 3 peoples birthday's. We went to Rodizio Rico (http://www.rodiziorico.com/pgs/loc.html) in Bayswater an amazing meat lover restaurant. There were 9 of us from work and it was great. Although it was a late sitting (8pm) so didn't get home till midnight.

Me with my two bosses, Andy (left) and Burak (right).

But when I did get home, what (or should I say who) was waiting for me???? Coop!! My baby is back good as new and super clean on the inside. Haven't had a chance to go over her properly but it's nice to finally after 3 weeks get her back.

First game in our softball comp tonight over in Clissold Park (near Finsbury Station). Fingers crossed we go alright, but so long as we have fun.

Long weekend coming up, nice and relaxing.

Fun in the Sun

So this week has been busy. Still haven't got Coop back yet, the car company is telling all sorts. Reckon I will get here back by Tuesday. Other than that it's just been a busy week. The weather is turning better with sun most days.

I caught up with Helen on Friday night for a drink down South Bank on the Thames followed by Wagamama's. It will be really great to have Helen living in London.

Saturday was spent mostly in bed (no suprise) but had a niggle in my throat so wasn't a happy camper.

Sunday (today) I headed to the physio down at the gym to talk about a few sports injuries. Firstly my right elbow where I strained/pulled the tendon's last year in Portsmouth when I was playing softball. It's not sorry but I wanted her opinion on what I can do to strengthen it. I can feel it sometimes when I throw. She gave me 4 exercises to do and said I could strap it if I liked.

Secondly my left calf has been giving me a little grief. When I squat I can't put all my pressure on the left leg. She had a look and both my calf's and it turns out my right calf is 4cm in length and my left (which i thought had the problem) is 7cm. So I now need to lengthen my right one and strengthen up my left one. Hopefully this will correct everything!

After that I headed over to the park for softball training. We have our first game on Wednesday. Pretty exciting!

Busy Weekend

Well after the four day work week (which we should do every week) it was an action packed weekend. Friday night Louisa, Karen & I went to Nando's for dinner to celebrate Louisa's birthday it was so nice to hang out and chat. Although I did accidentally put peri peri sauce on my salad. I thought it was just dressing, but no it's HOT HOT sauce!! Tried to wipe some of the lettuce leaves on the napkin but gave up.

Saturday I ended up doing nothing all day. It was great. The boys (Matt & Ned) had come back from Thailand on Friday night so it was nice to catch up and be extremely jealous of their tans. Saturday night I met up with Nat, Simon, Danny & Adrian in Clapham Junction for drinks. We started at the Slug & Lettuce and then hit Babel. After a couple of cider's we were up for a dance so headed to the class nightclub called Back to the Eighties!! I'd had a few ciders at this stage and thought it said Back to the future! No. We danced the night away and the next thing you know it's 2am and I have to get across town to get home. I wasn't going to spend £20 on a cab so got a night bus to Dulwich and then my usual bus 176 home. Only took about 40mins so was home by 3am. Straight to bed!

Sunday (this morning) I woke up soooooooo tired and had a massive headache. Popped a couple pills and it was back in bed only to be woken up again at 10am by my alarm as I had softball practice at 12!! I was so tempted to stay in bed but I looked out the windows and the sun was so beautiful and bright I dragged myself out of the house and made my way to Regents park. It was a great training session, everyone is really nice and we have our first match next week! So everyone is really excited. Got home about 4ish soooo tired, nearly feel asleep on the bus. Relaxed the rest of the day dreading going to work tomorrow.

Easter Break

A lovely 4 days of doing nothing, and I mean nothing. Those that know me won't be suprised to hear I was in bed till after lunch pretty much every day. I have eaten heaps and finally got to eat bread on Sunday. I ate sooo many hotcross buns I had to lie down for a mid morning (10am) nap!

I watched 7 episodes of Grey's Anatomy on Saturday. I love this show and will be sending the dvd's to Inger for her to watch too.

Other than that, not much else to report.

Bread, glorious bread!

So with only about 36 hours to go all I can think about is what type of bread I will eat once Lent is finished. 40 days without bread is alot harder than I thought. Luckily Clare was there to go through it with me, all we seem to talk about in this last week is bread related! I've only slipped up twice, I had stuffing with my turkey so we are presuming it had bread crumbs in it and the second time was during a charity event in Cambridge where i was handing out entrees and I was starving. I shoved a mini breadroll & 2 finger sandwiches in my mouth without even thinking about the no bread rule. But as I was doing something for charity I feel it rules it out.

Marion and I are going to have a big brekkie on Sunday in celebration of not only Easter but of my determination to stick to it. 4 days off from work so it's going to be nice and relaxing. I'm off to the gym and softball on Sunday but other than that just relaxing!

Happy Easter Everyone! xx

Easter haul

So cleaned up pretty good at work........

Marion's Birthday

So yesterday (Wednesday) was Marion's birthday. After work we met up in Forest Hill and went to the local pub, The Hob, for a pint. Afterwards we headed home for a bit of tapa's followed by birthday raspberry tart. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make it so it was bought. Matt & I gave Maz an african violet and a ticket to The Importance of Being Ernest, she loved them!

The sun has come!

Finally two days full of sunshine! Saturday was spent in bed recovering from a hectic week. Ended up going for a walk in the afternoon around Horniman Gardens which was lovely. Sunday I was supposed to be going to softball training but missed the train and they are so infrequent on Sunday's I gave up, but went to the gym for an hour instead. Spent the afternoon cleaning and tidying up then it was off to meet Nat as we were going to see "The Boat that Rocked". Really funny worth seeing if you get a chance.
I also made some mini quiche lorraine's which I froze and had some for lunch today! Taste, nutritious and delicious!
