Rich's birthday

Had a great time at Rich's birthday last Saturday night at the pub Apple & Pears just off Brick Lane. It was a fun night but it was a long recovery the next day!

Got my hair cut finally, only a year in between cuts. Although you can't tell from the party pics above. Also had our first indoor softball day. We played 5 games and won 2, not bad for a first time team together. Will be going back for the next round in a couple of weeks.

Caught up with Helen and Angela during the week at Ping Pong in Liverpool Street Station. It was actually in the building I first built when I came to London - 10 Exchange Square.

This weekend I headed down to Brooks Farm where we did Community Day to see how the farm turned out. They had a major re-open and everyone from the community came down to see the new and improved farm. It was a lovely day and not just the weather. It was nice to see what we had done to help them. They were very grateful and it all looked fantastic. I look forward to going down again in April when the donkey, Millie, is due to give birth to her first foal. Exciting. Sunday has been spent lying in the sun reading my book and listening to music. Awesome

Paintballing

A day spent ducking, rolling, diving, shooting and laughing. There were 16 of us from work who met up at 9am in Upminster ready to go. We were split into 2 groups and we were ready to go. We played 6 games against other people (one half defending, one half attacking then swapping over). The weather was good to us and not too hot or raining. It was a great day even though I have over 5 bruises to show for it, one massive as you can see. Someone from the other team got me high on the thigh at the back. UNLUCKY! It's really sore. Poor Lisa got hit in the neck and it looked really sore. Also during the game we were warned of an assassin called The Terminator who can challenge you to a duel. Lucky for me he was really nice and posed for a picture with me and then in one of games gave me his automatic weapon to use!!! Bonus. Always pays to be nice. Although I kept smiling with my mask on when we were taking pictures! Kept forgeting that you couldn't see my mouth, ha ha ha ha.

Don't think I will be doing this again in a hurry but really did enjoy myself.

Hayley's birthday cake

Last week was Hayley's birthday and  decided to make her a cake based on her bunny, Honey! We got her a bunch of pressies which she loved. She really enjoyed her birthday and the next night we went out for drinks to Anise near Liverpool Street Station. It was a great evening and Hayley had LOTS to drink, we did manage to get her into a cab about 10pm though.

Beerball - Finsbury Park

A fantastic day spent playing softball, drinking and laughing. Our team, along with people from the Intellect team, made our way down to Finsbury Park for a great day for playing 5 games of softball. Our team The Dudes, based on the movie, The Big Lebowski were pretty bad but had a great time. We won 1 game out of 5. The weather was fantastic and everyone had a great time. By 5pm I was sooo tired and still a little tipsy that it was time to go straight home and pass out.
