Thoms visit

So last week I pick Lynda up from Bristol. It was nice to see a familiar face from home. Although I didn't really see too much of her as she was constantly busy out and about in London! We managed to catch up in the evenings which was nice. On Thursday we headed out to west end to see Les Miserables, a lovely yet heavy musical.

Saturday (after sleeping most of the day away!) Mila came down from Cambridge and I cooked us dinner before we headed out to Mike's party. Krista met us at the station and off we went. Mike has an awesome apartment just behind Selfridges on Oxford Street. It was a great party with lots of drink, food and laughs. We ended up leaving at 1ish, which to the London crew was extremely early but I was feeling tired. Nearly fell asleep on the night bus but Mila was there to nudge me awake so we didn't miss the stop.

Sunday after brekkie Mila and I headed into town so she could catch her train up to Cambridge and I wandered around Borders looking to buy some books with my birthday voucher. I ended up getting:

1. Jessica by Bryce Courtenay
2. The Amber Room by Steve Berry - An awesome author, Ma you should have a read of his stuff
3. In their footsteps by Tess Geritsen - Another amazing author in the same vein as Deaver

Normal Life / Bristol

So it's been a couple weeks now with me living & working in London. Things are going well, work is extremely busy so having to get used to that again! Have had a lot of training courses at work so trying to get to grips with the systems & people is a bit of a struggle. But things are looking up!

Went to Bristol on the weekend. Helped Ben sell programmes at the Bristol Symphonic Concert, and then got to listen to a lovely concert, my first classical. Afterwards it was off to the local pub for a quick drink with the orchestra. Then to the pub for 5 minutes as it was Jo's birthday and they were ready to head off once we got there. Can you believe the bar sold us drinks to go!!!! How bizarre. I've never heard or seen anything like it. As you can see from the picture I was most amused.

Sunday we caught up with Poz for brunch, before heading over to a food market. In hindsight we probably should have waited as there were soo many delicious foods available. Atleast I saved money. Got a chance to quickly catch up with Jo whilst we were there but then had to leave as I was off to pick up Lynda (my brother in laws sister). Then it was an extremely long journey home driving for 2 hours. Finally made it, showed Lynda the house then headed off to bed!!!

Moving...

Well finally after an awful week of looking at places in London, I found a house share in Sydenham which is south east London. My new flatmates are Matt (owner), his brother Ned and Ned's girlfriend Marian. They seem really nice and friendly so things are looking up. Also the shower if FANTASTIC!!!

My room is huge which is lucky as I have so much stuff. Going to have to do a few trips to Portsmouth to pick up my stuff.

Had Lida & Giles's wedding on Saturday. Stay tuned for pics, she looked so beautiful.

And ofcourse I couldn't forget Mila who has housed me for the past week! Without Mila I would be living on the streets. So THANK YOU!!!!!
