FREEEEEZZZZING

What a week it's been. The snow fell about 5 inches at my house and it turned the roads and sidewalks into ice rinks. After nearly slipping over 3 or 4 times the rain came it the weather got a degree warmer melting the snow & ice. So whilst its a shame that it's not going to be a white Christmas, it good to know that the roads will be clear for me to drive up to Claire & Annabel's house in Cambridge tomorrow!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Another Christmas Party

Last Friday I got the call from a friend that there were 2 spare tickets going to the BBC Christmas party in Battersea Park. So Clare & I put our glad rags on (again) and went dancing. It was heaps of fun and it was nice to hang out with people other than at the AV.

We danced until the end at 2am and then it was a case of sleeping all weekend!

Another Chrissy Party

I got invited to one of the plot teams Christmas party which was held at Tiger Tiger in Piccadilly. A lovely dinner followed by dancing on Friday night. It got to about 10ish and I was so tired from all the nights out I just had to go home. I actually nearly fell asleep on the bus home, luckily I think I've trained myself to wake up as soon as I hear "Sydenham the Woodman".

Saturday I had to go into work to print out the quarterly newsletter for the Red Balloon. After it was finished (all 800 copies) I then drove up to Cambridge. I had a great dinner with Mila (Thai of course) and then I drove over to Carrie & Ruth's to drop them off. Then it was back home to go straight to bed.

Today I met up with Mark in town and we did a bit of Chrissy shopping. I managed to get all my Secret Santa gifts for under a fiver. Bonus! Now just relaxing doing nothing, it's nice not to have to talk to anyone or do anything.

Two more weeks of work before we break up for Chrissy!

Guvnors Ball 2009

The Guvnors Ball was held last night at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane. Again it was heaps of fun, but it generally always is. After going out for a big one on Friday I thought maybe I might not be able to keep up but after sleeping from 5am to 3pm I felt refreshed. So after I woke up it was time to get ready and go dancing.

I went and got my makeup done at a local beauty salon so once my face was done I was ready to face the party. The good thing about this year is alot of my friends were coming too. It was fantastic to see people, outside the Atheletes Village, who I haven't see in a couple of years. I got the chance to catch up with these people and see what else was going on around the UK.

It was a Moulin Rouge theme and there was a show of can can dances. There was also a silent auction with a trip to New York for two going for £2700!! A little bit out of my price range. Alot of money was raised for charity which is the main reason for this shing dig, so that was great.

The girls and I danced the night away and after the party (2am) we headed down to the ground floor bar for a few more drinks. We ended up staying there till about 3ish but got kicked out of there so we decided to head up to Charlene's room. The nine of us went up but not realising how much noise we were making, a complaint was made and we all got kicked out. We thought we would be tricky and go to Craig's room but after about 10mins we got kicked out of there too. Louisa and I decided to go home and luckily her boyfriend Colin came and picked us up. I got a lift to Charing Cross and managed to get a night bus home which was super quick luckily. So I was in bed by 6am and asleep!

Notice Hayley has her socks on in the lobby of the Hilton! We were getting dirty looks from the staff! ha ha ha

A fantastic night, what a weekend. I have Monday off work so I will be sleeping all Monday!

Work Chrissy Party

This year we had our work Christmas party at the Grace bar just off Shaftesbury Avenue. It wasn't bad, although I think last year was better. Clare & I had to work late so we didn't get there until about 9.30ish and it was in full swing. Some people had more than others but it was heaps of fun. Alot of dancing and drinking was done. There was food laid out as well and towards the end of the night the mini muffins became excellent missles! ha ha

It ended up being quite a late night with us leaving the bar at 3.30am. I was so tired and I had been wearing stilletto's so my feet felt like some one was hammering nails in the soles! I managed to hobble to the bus stop to get the night bus home though. Then it was into bed in preparation for the next night out!

Spot the celebrity!

On Friday we had a teams communication meeting and there was a special guest speaker. His name is Jonathan Edwards, who you might ask, apparently he is the world record holder in the triple jump. He set the record in 1995 and it hasn't been broken yet. He jumped 18.29m with only touching the ground twice! Amazing. I didn't believe it until they showed us the video. Well worth watching.

Girls Christmas Dinner!

The girls and I decided to have dinner for Chrissy at Thai Silk at the O2. It was good food and lots of laughs. Luckily they put us in a room by ourselves as we were extremely loud! Nice to spend time outside of work laughing! So from left to right (first pic) Jane, Me, Clare, Hayley, Paula, Suzy & Louisa.

Jason's Birthday

Jase's birthday was on Saturday but we thought we would celebrate today, so the girls and I got him a card, a grow your own pole dancer toy and a gift voucher to Westfields. I also made him a cake, and as he is a massive chocolate fan I'm sure the cake will make sense.

Girls Night Out!

So the first Chrissy night out and we decided to make it girls only! So the girls from work and some of my mates decided to go to Fine Line first for a drink then we headed around the corner to Reflex! An 80's club.

It was fantastic! So many people were dressed up, and the music was awesome. We had the best time, and got home around 2ish. I was extremely tired on Saturday so spent the day in bed.

Sunday I went to Westfields Shopping Centre in Shepherd's Bush. It was MASSIVE! So many stores but it was so busy I couldn't be bothered.

Cakes galore

Here are some pics of Zoe's leaving cake & Natasha's birthday cake.

We went to dinner for Nat's birthday, a late celebration. We went to The Diner just off Carnaby Street. I had pancakes, bacon, mushrooms & french toast for dinner. It was so tasty, and we all had a really nice time. Also I got my haircut, I had about 4inches cut off and the lady curled it, you can kinda see it in the below photos!

During the week I also went out for lunch for Aarti's leaving do. We ended up at Pizza Express in Stratford. I'm off to her baby shower on Sunday as well.

Halloween

Happy Halloween!

What a great night, it started off at Mila's for dinner then we headed down to the Anchor for our ghost punt. It was pretty standard stuff but with the mist coming across the Cam it was extremely spooky. After the punt we headed around Cambridge for the ghost walk. Some of the stuff was interesting but it's hard to know what to believe! Then it was on to the Eagle for a drink before heading home at the witching hour of midnight!
Sunday I met up with Claire, Annabel & Freddy. It was so great to see them and Freddy has grown so much and is super cute!!!!
