Relaxation

So another weekend of lying around doing nothing. Saturday was spent relaxing in bed reading & watching Grey's Anatomy. Also did a bit of washing and tidy up of my room.

Sunday I went to Clapham Common to meet up with Helen so we could watch Nat play soccer. Unfortunately she lost but the weather was lovely and sunny. Still had my scarf though. And daylight savings is over so got an extra hour sleep on Sunday.

A week full of work then it's Halloween with a punt & ghost tour up in Cambridge!

Hayley's Brithday

After flying back in from Portugal it was time to get dressed and go to Hayley's 30th birthday party.

Me, Charlene, Paula & Ian met up at Hayley's and headed over to the party. It was so much fun, we danced the night away. Before we knew it the party was over. We had a great time watching Hayley and her friends dancing to Cotton Eye Joe! Hilarious.

I also made Hayley a cake when we met up at work during the week. We got her a charm of a hippo in a tutu, bottle of vodka and a gift voucher to ASOS her fav shop. We also went for lunch on Wednesday to Pizza Express to extend the celebrations for the whole week!

Portugal

2 weeks spent doing nothing! What a fantastic holiday. We flew in Faro on Saturday lunch time and made it to the villa by about 4ish. The villa was amazing so much room and fantastic location.

The first week it was me, Mila, Helen, Anne, Clare, Claire, Lee & Steve. We spent the week exploring the area. There were 6 beaches within 15min walk. The closest one was literally down the road, 5mins. We had a couple of bbq's and there was a cocktail bar/hotel next door so we were able to pop in for a quick feed. Mila, Helen & I found a fab restaurant near St Rafael beach. It was super tasty and we went back there a couple of times. We hit the night life a couple times but it really caters to the British tourists. We saw alot of drunk English people in the gutters. So after a couple nights out we didn't really need to go.

The week went by fast and it was soon time for Mila, Helen & Anne to leave. And for Daryl to come out. So it was the six of us the second week. Again nothing interesting to report except 30 degree weather everyday! Lazing by the pool, or on the beach. The most strenuous event was a boat trip we did around the coast with a bbq on a private cove. It was lovely to be on the boat and Clare & I decided to swim from the beach back to the boat. It was a massive swim and wasn't sure if I would make it. Most exercise I had done in 2 weeks.

Ate lost of seafood and the prawns were MASSIVE! Portugal was such a lovely place and the people were really friendly. Sharing the villa was such a good idea I would defo do it again.

Riding high

Zoe's Birthday

Zoe's birthday is on Monday but as I'll be on holidays we celebrated early! I made a special cake for her. The bottom is sponge with a layer of plain butter cream with raspberries & blueberries and the top half is chocolate covered in chocolate butter cream and strawbs! She loved it and we got her a Clairn's gift voucher so she can pamper herself.

On holidays tomorrow so no blogging for 2 weeks! Wait for all the pics when I get back.

I LOVE MY NEW MITT

Thanks to Fiona, Andrew, Lucy & Henry for my super new mitt. Have a go at the old one.....it's ancient (a bit like me) with bits of string keeping it together.
