South Africa World Cup Champions

What a great game!! I was so nervous sitting in the Avery which was full of English supporters. It was a great atmosphere and I think everyone enjoyed it. Plenty of sad faces at the end, I think there were only about 4 Sth African fans. Fantastic result!!

We kicked on to the Fez Club where Ads friend was DJ'ing. A good dance then off home for a cuppa tea & piece of fudge brownie. Tasty!

Mini Mouse

No not Mickey's girlfriend but an optical wireless mini mouse for my computer! Only cost me £0.79, what a bargain off Ebay. It's small but not uncomfortable, I actually think my one at work feels weird and big!!

Weekend woes

Can you believe that England are thru to the final of the Rugby World Cup!!! Saturday was a total relaxation day spent in bed. Dinner was at Brown's for Zach's graduation celebrations. A lovely meal followed by hooking up with everyone at the pub. Everyone, especially Jamie, was in high spirits after Englands defeat of the French. We headed into town for a few more drinks, then it was home to bed as 1am was way past my bedtime. On the walk home Jamie and came on a fight with this one chick fully getting into it, hitting guys in the face, try to break to up. Crazy!! Some people just shouldn't drink.

Now watching the Sth Africa vs Argentina semi. Go the bok!!

New shoes & a change in hair colour

I was shopping in town the other day, feeling sick from the flu and decided to buy some shoes! Luckily, New Look, has a great cheap range and I managed to find a pair that fit fantastic so bought them in red & black. Have worn the red ones all day and they are soooooooooo comfy and they were only £12 each. BARGAIN!!

Also decided a hair colour change was in order. My hair had lightend when I was in the US and the roots were starting to come thru. I got a medium brown thinking that will be nice, but as you can see it should say black/dark brown. Oh well going to keep it like this for a bit then go more chocolate/red.

Still feeling rubbish from coughing.

Devastated - The Wallabies go down to the English

Can you believe it, the mighty Australian Wallabies go down AGAIN to the English!!! I can't believe it. I was in a pub with only 4 other Australian's for support, the rest were English. Seriously if they didn't have Jonny Wilkinson they would have NOTHING!!!

Jamie and I enjoyed the game, even thought the end was awful. A few ciders to help dull the pain and we headed off for a bit of a dance off at the local amusement centre. We were going to watch a movie but in the end we decided to come home and we caught the end of the New Zealand vs France match. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!! The All Blacks lost to the French and the NZ's were supposed to be the favourites to win the World Cup!!

So going to bed depressed, not looking forward to Monday when I have to go into the office. Atleast they haven't won it yet. Fingers crossed the Springbok triumph.

New Laptop

I did it, with help of my friends I am now the proud owner of a fantastic laptop. Which is why on a Friday night I am sitting at home blogging. Also I have a nasty cough so need to get an early bed as Australia is playing England tomorrow in the quaterfinals. So have to be ready for a day of drinking and hopefully celebration.
So my new laptop is an Advent 17"screen and I love it. It's got everything I think i'm supposed to have cause I checked with some computer experts first. So now I can do all the stuff I can't do at work, like face book & you tube.

Fancy Dress & Ice Hockey - Ducks vs Kings

Friday was Charlie's suprise fancy dress farewell party as she is leaving Laura Ashley to go to another company. Unfortunately someone tipped her off so she knew something was up but not 100% sure what. So she got there and we all jumped out and scared her. A great night with heaps of games, food & dancing. So much fun.

Saturday I stayed in bed all day, got up about 5ish then cleaned my room & watched Annie.
Sunday I headed down to London to see Krista & the crazy Canadian's for the ice hockey match at the O2 stadium (previously called the Dome). It was the Anaheim Ducks vs the LA Kings. We split into two teams and the heckling began. Luckily my team (the Ducks) won so we were able to be quite vocal. A great game with a fight! The whole stadium erupted when they threw their gloves off. Very entertaining. A nightmare getting home on the tube, ended up getting a bus after waiting an hour in line. An there was rail replacement buses at Royston so a very long trip, but definetly worth it. Our new housemate (Yana) moved in on Sunday too. So it's a full house again.
