Louisa & I got free tickets to see the Houdini Experience. I wasn't expecting much but it was AMAZING!! I have no idea how he did it but he made people disappear and re-appear. It was so much fun. There were a few other acts on as well but his stuff was the best. And the tickets were free so it doesn't get better than that!
Away from the sunny shores of Sydney, and smack bang in the middle of London! What a difference in temperature.

Houdini and Pie & Mash
So before Charlene left to go travelling for 9 months she took Lou & I for Pie & Mash at her local. So Saturday morning we got up and met at Camden town. It was fun and the food was simple but tasty. Not sure about the "licquor" that they said I should put on the pie, tasted more like parsley water. Might go the tommy sauce next time but it was a great East London tradition I can now say I have done!
Brighton not Brighton Le Sands
So girls weekend, where do you go??? Brighton! It was great, we just managed to make our train in the morning and spent the morning wandering around the streets and pier of Brighton. After a bit of food we got ready and hit the town. It was alot of fun and we danced the night away in a club which was conveniently next door to our hotel.
In the morning we finally got up about lunchtime and then headed home. Whilst on the train heading back to London I looked out the window and all you can see is white. Yep it had snowed whilst we had been away! It looked really pretty but trying to walk thru it is a pain in the butt!
Guvnors Dinner
So I couldn't really start the new year without winning another award! I attended our annual Guvnors Dinner and was awarded the Southern Guvnor of the Year award! How great is that. I have the can at home with my utensils in the kitchen. Not sure if that is the correct way of using it but it's very affective!
Peter & I
A few other things in February
Mila's birthday was on the 4th and the girls and I headed to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. It was all going wonderfully until we realised someone had stolen poor Helen's bag right from under our noses, literally!! The bag was next to Helen and I and we didn't even see them take it. So we all ended up at the cop shop down the road reporting the incident. Shame about the ending but it was a lovely evening spent with the girls.

Single living in the city
So after nearly 10 years of living alone I branched out when I got back in January and found a place of my own. A really nice 1 bedroom apartment in Leytonstone. I've painted the lounge and my bedroom at the moment and finally got my wardrobe & chest of drawers delivered so it's starting to look amazing. Keep an eye out for updated videos/pictures next week.
Thanks to Fiona, Andrew, Lucy, Henry & Felicity for my AMAZING chest of drawers. I love them.

I come from a land down under......
After nearly 3 years away from home I finally managed to wangle 4 weeks holiday over Christmas & New Year in Sydney! It was so lovely to be back home and get lots of ma & pa hugs. Obviously nothing much had changed except all the kids had grown about 2 feet each. I spent the next 4 weeks doing nothing but realxing, eating, reading and spending time with friends.
Spent New Year's with Mark under the harbour bridge at Luna Park. It was great to have Mark around as it had been 4 months since he had left London for Singapore. We even went on the jet boat around Sydney harbour (thanks Andy for the pressie) and laughed so much! Got pretty drenched but in the heat of Australia nothing stays wet for long.
Clare came over to Sydney as well, catching up with her brother so got a couple days in with her as well. A bit weird being in my neck of the woods together but it was fun taking her to Bondi anyway. Me, Mum & Clare also went for a massage.
I spent time with all the girls back home which was lovely. Even got a chance to see my cousin Darren!
