Weekend break......No camera, can you believe it??

So first things first. I forgot my camera!!!! What a nightmare. Generally it's glued to my hand but for some bizarre reason.......

Anyway Tom & I left work early on Friday and headed up to Sheffield. 4 hours later we were in his home town. Pretty nice, lots of churches. Stayed in a relaxed watching dvd's on his super comfy couch. When my eyes started closing and I was doing the head jerk awake I knew it was time to turn in.

Saturday we went to Speedwell Caves in Castleton, Derbyshire. The peak district it soooo beautiful and it was lovely to be driven around, not having to make decisions! The caves were pretty cool (literally)and were underground about 150 steps down. We had to take a boat ride to the main cavern where we could see the bottomless pit & the staligtites & staligmites. As you can see the blue John stone which was mined at the caves.

Once we came out in the sunshine it was off to Chatsworth house, we got there about 3pmish and guess what, the outside was covered in scaffolding. What a bummer as the main reason was to get my Pride & Predjuice photo taken on the steps. After a nice lunch in the courtyard we decided not to go in, best to leave it for next time when we could spend all day there. We then drove to a little village nearby where we had icecream (Tom's fav) and sat around drinking tea watching the clouds go by. Extremely relaxed at this stage.

A quick hello to the locals then it was back to Sheffield for a dvd. Dinner at the local Chinese (Tasty) and onto Lescar for a few drinks. After that we hit Tom's local (across the road) for more drinks. Lost £5 on the games machines and by then it was 1am and time to go home. Little bit worse for wear, trip on a step but managed to keep myself up.

Sunday was relaxing. Up late, then off down the road to a little Italian place for brunch, picked up some tasty cupcakes, then back in the car up the street home to plonk in front of the box. Showed Tom Summer Heights High and from the laughing I'm assuming he enjoyed it. Think he picked up some new sayings! Then it was time to hit the road and come home. Got in about 8pmish sooooo relaxed.

Wonderful weekend!
