Charlene's Birthday

So today is Charlene's birthday and I made her a cake. She is a huge High School Muscial fan so I took the team's mascot (East High Wildcats) and made the cake. She loved it!

English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe, Lapshoshoung, Earl Grey.....

The list goes on. My favourite Twinnings tea at the moment is Rose Puchong. A lovely black tea with a hint of rose. Unfortunately after scouring the country I have been unable to find anymore of this tea.

So as the weather has taken a turn for the better, yes it is full sunshine at the moment, I decided to head into town and see what I could find. I met up with my mate James and we headed down the Strand to the original shop which was built in 1706. It is a gorgeous little shop packed with delicious smelling teas. Unfortunately after speaking to one of the managers I found out that this years crop of Rose Puchong tea had been wiped out due to floods! No wonder I couldn't find any. She said to come back about November time. Luckily I have one box left so will allocated myself 1 teabag a week to ensure it lasts.

I did pick up some Irish Breakfast tea, a very soft, full tasting black tea (which I'm drinking as I type) and a vanilla flavoured black tea which I'll try later. After this we walked up to Covent Garden and stopped in the Australia Shop where I picked up my Cottee's Green Coola cordial!!! Whoo hoo. How exciting. Although the prices were:

I will be enjoying them all and not sharing with anyone. What a rip off but whilst eating the koala decided it was worth it!

We had lunch in the Walkabout, I had a great kangaroo salad with wedges and James had the Kangaroo steak. Watched a bit of the rugby (France vs Italy) then we headed up to Oxford Circus via Carnaby Street. So many stores having sales, I had to restrain myself going in.

Cambridge

What a lovely weekend in Cambridge.

Saturday night I was up in Cambridge helping out the Red Balloon Centre with their Auction of Promises! it was a fantastic night and we ended up raising £15000. Christopher Biggins showed up as a local celebrity. I wasn't sure who he was but I'm told he was big in the panto scene and that he won I'm a Celebrity get me out of here 2007.

After the auction I met up with Charlie & Kevin at the local bar. We ended up at the Castle for a drink & boogie. IT was so much fun and was really great to catch up with Chaz.

Sunday we had lunch at Pizza Express. Charlie, Kevin, Mila, Colin, Claire, Annabell and Freddie all showed up. It was a stunning day and was great to see everyone. Freddy is the cutest little boy ever!! Lots of cuddles! A lovely leisurely lunch then it was back to London with a quick stop at Krista's for a cuppa tea then home.

Another week.......

Not much happened this week. Have been to the gym twice! and I'm going tonight as well. Fingers crossed I can keep it up.

Off to Cambridge this weekend, have a charity auction on Saturday then catching up with Charlie for drinks and lunch on Sunday with the rest of the Cambridge gang.

2 degrees

So it's now been 2 weeks back in England and I woke up yesterday morning and it was 2 degrees. Awesome!

Last night I met up with Mila and we had dinner at Wagamama and was followed by a night at the theatre. As a birthday present to Mila I got us two awesome seats at the Novello theatre to see Taming of the Shrew by the Royal Shakespere Company. It was fantastic.

The rest of the weekend will be spent relaxing, cleaning & cooking lunches for next week. I went shopping in Sainsbury's and it took me an hour and a half. I love shopping even if it's only for food!!!
