On Saturday we all headed out to Fort Fisher, one of the last standing forts during the civil war, where the Confederacy battled against the Federal Army. The Confederates lost and many artifacts have been found and are now displayed at the information center there. A look around the canons, then it was off onto the ferry across the river for lunch in a little town there. We ate at The Pharmacy Restaurant. A tasty lunch, a stroll through the antiques stores then back into the car for the drive home. A big day was coming up tomorrow!!!
